![]() As a subscriber of their 1 GB speed tier, I get a free Verizon WiFi router. ![]() I am a new subscriber to Verizon's Fios internet service. Wasn't sure if that was necessarily and that would have made it a lot hard to go back to the router when things didn't work The only other piece of information is that I did *not* follow the instructions at to release the DHCP Lease. I assume it's the oval button on the back I tried doing the factor reset, but couldn't get it to flash orange as the instructions say. But mine is round like all the Google Wifi pictures show Not sure what the difference is between Google WiFi and Nest WiFi Router. It asks me what device I'm connecting and I assume that's Google Wifi. It tired to look for devices but couldn't find anything. But it said it should start pulsing white, but I was never able to get that to happen. It said to connect the Ethernet cable, which I already had. So all I care about is the Ethernet cable, which is definitely activated.Īs an aside, one thing that's a bit confusing is almost all the instructions out there say that the Google Wifi *must* be connected to an already existing routerįollowing the instructions here,, I connected the Ethernet directly to the Google Mesh device. So the coax from the ONT is already being split and going directly to the TV's. Since my house long pre-dates the internet, it is already wired with coax through the house. ![]() I was finally brave enough to follow the instructions, but I've run into some problems.įirst, I discovered that the coax cable that was connected to the router was doing absolutely nothing for me. about switching my setup so that instead of piggy-backing off the Verizon Router, I want to connect the Ehternet directly from the ONT into Google Wi-fi
